Walmart is a money sucking heartless corporation.

I went to the walmart in Montevideo, MN today to print off some pictures. I had attempted to do this at the Walmart in Marshall, MN but their photo machines were not working. Again I had to stand in this very long line and wait. As I’m standing there I notice that the pictures are $1.00 more than at the other walmart. My mother also noticed that the food she normally would have purchased at the Marshall walmart was $2.00-$3.00 more at this store. At this point I’m pissy from standing in line so I go find a manager and ask them to kindly explain why such a dramatic change in prices. I am then informed that every walmart and every walmart district is allowed to come up with their own prices. Since Montevideo has no other chain stores such as HYVEE, Walgreens, and so on and so forth, there is no competition therefore they don’t have to lower there prices to meet the competitors. Forget about the customers they serve and are screwing over every single day. I say screw Walmart and if you live in Montevideo or the Granite Falls area then make the extra trip to Marshall or Willmar if you are not satisfied with your other choices. Even if you feel the need to shop at Walmart go to a different one, refuse to pay the outrageous prices being charged by the Montevideo store just because they can. People forget that in this day and age they have control over what they do and don’t do. You don’t have to let business owners treat you like crap. You don not have to allow big corporations to take you for all you are worth. It may be nice that Walmart can charge extra because they have no competition but the people who live in this area also make lower wages compared to larger towns and should not be forced to pay more just because of where they are located.
