Everyone thought I was kidding.

So when I said I was boycotting American Idol, everyone thought I was kidding. The fact is I truly have stopped watching the show, so at this point the only information I receive is what I see on TMZ or E!.

I’ve been reading and not watching as much TV. It’s good for the brain. So far I have read Nicholas Sparks At First Sight, and True Believer, both very good, although not as sad as I thought they would be, or as exciting. And I have also read Practical Magic, At Risk, and Blue Diary (Which I am still working on.) by Alice Hoffman, I had been boycotting her since I read The River King and was sorely disappointed, but I do have to say she has redeemed herself. I have found At Risk to be the best so far, I read Practical Magic because it had always been one of my favorite movies and I wanted to see what the story had been developed from. I think both versions are equally entertaining. Next on my list is Confessions of An Ugly Stepsister, Son of A Witch, and Wicked.

I had been off the Movie train until this past weekend when I decided to catch up on some new releases, starting off with No Country For Old Men, which was horrible disappointing. Following with Sweeney Todd, which I kept falling asleep through, and ending with 27 dresses which was not nearly as good as the first time I watched it, although it may have been the cynical commentary coming from the peanut gallery that ruined it. Other wise thats about this. Hope you enjoyed my strangely long and random update.
